1. Use a white vinegar solution

Mix one cup of white vinegar with one cup of water.

This gentle cleaning solution is perfect for everyday use on wooden cabinets.

It does not attack the coating or the finish of the wood.

If you're not a big fan of the smell of white vinegar, you can use a soapy solution.

Simply mix a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid in a cup of water.

In any case, do not use strong all-purpose cleaners on furniture.

They can cause discoloration and warping of the wood!

2. Wipe the outside of cabinets after cooking

Grease and food residue build up on cabinet surfaces every time you cook.

To wash it all off, dip a clean washcloth or rag in the vinegar solution.

Use it to wipe down doors and under cabinets.

Wring out the cloth you use so that it does not drip; it just needs to be damp.

3. Clean the inside of furniture

Spices and other condiments that you store in cabinets often spill.

As a result, it puts it everywhere on the cupboard shelves:salt, pepper, oil...

Keep the inside of your cabinets clean by wiping them down every 2 weeks.

Use a mild solution of white vinegar or dishwashing liquid to clean your wooden elements.

Then dry the washed areas with a clean towel and put everything back on the shelves.

To prevent your cupboards from getting dirty too quickly, you can also add newspaper to your shelves.

4. Dust cabinets regularly

The fat and steam produced during cooking freeze dust on the surfaces of the cabinet.

And if this dust is not cleaned regularly, this dirt is more difficult to remove...

Simply use a soft, dry cloth to clean the interior and exterior surfaces of the cabinet.

By removing this thin layer of dust regularly, you avoid this phenomenon.

5. Use baking soda to get rid of stuck-on, encrusted stuff

Food residues embedded in the wood for a long time harden and are difficult to remove.

Fortunately, there is baking soda.

Its gentle abrasive properties remove dried substances effectively without damaging the wood.

Mix baking soda with enough water to make a thick paste.

Dip a cloth in this paste and use it to remove the dried substance.

If the substance does not come off, apply the paste directly and let it act for 15 min.

Once this step has been completed, you can scrub the areas to be cleaned.

Use a thin spatula or other tool to help scrape the surfaces.
