Fortunately, there is a cheap and simple trick to cleaning your iron. Simply wash the soleplate with a cloth soaked in white vinegar. Watch:
1. Take a clean cloth.
2. Pour a little white vinegar on it.
3. Run this cloth over the soleplate of your iron. Be careful, your iron must be cold.
4. Wipe the soleplate of your iron well with a clean, dry cloth.
There you go, your iron is perfectly clean :-)
