12 Ingenious Ways to Recycle Your Glass Jars.

Do you have glass jars in your cupboards that are useless?

Did you know they can be used for more than just storing food?

So don't let them pile up in your cupboards, and use them!

Here are 12 ingenious ways to recycle your glass jars. Watch:

1. To make individual cheesecakes

Fill the jars 3/4 full with cheesecake batter. Put the jars in the oven in a gratin dish filled with water to cook them in a bain-marie. The water should reach 3/4 of the height of the pots. Let cook for 25 to 35 minutes. Leave to cool and put the coulis of your choice on the cake.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. The cheesecake will keep for up to 3 days.

2. To organize children's pencils

Kids can easily see inside glass jars to find what they're looking for without spilling everything on the table! Organize their pencils, tubes of glue, scissors... For objects that are too long like colored pencils, do not put a lid.

3. To make a garden light

This is a magical idea to illuminate a garden or a house. Fill a large mason jar with a solar or battery-powered string light. Here's a little touch of fantasy for your bedside table or on the steps of a garden staircase.

4. To make a sewing kit

And even with a cushion to plant the needles on top! To do this:Separate the top of the cover and the thread. Place the lid on your fabric of choice and, using a pencil, draw a slightly wider circle around it. Use a glue gun and put some glue along the edge of the lid.

Then fold the fabric all the way around the lid, making slight creases. When you are 3/4 of the way through the lid, push some cotton wool or foam between the fabric and the lid. 5. To organize your office

Practical and inexpensive, you can put your pencils, scissors, clipboards, tubes of glue, erasers, rubber bands...

6. To make cocktails

7. To make outdoor lanterns

When the sun is starting to set, but you want to continue your party outside, scatter jars filled with small white candles. Place them all around your garden or why not hang them from low branches. And There you go ! You've made an easy-to-make hurricane lantern!

8. To make an oil lamp

Pierce the lid of your glass jars and insert a wick like this.

Then pour about 1/3 of scented kerosene lamp oil into the jar and dip the wick in it. Close the jar with the lid and turn on.

9. To make a verrine

For a quick and healthy breakfast, put a layer of yogurt, fresh or dried fruit, cereal, pumpkin seeds and honey in a glass jar.

10. To keep aromatic herbs fresh

To keep basil fresh, cut off the stem ends and soak them in a small glass jar with water in it on your counter. Practical and decorative.

11. To make a piggy bank
