This bed rolls revolving sleeper back to its own side

After a hectic day, it should be wonderfully relaxing to snuggle up close to your loved one. But for those sharing the bed with someone who "knows no boundaries," precious hours of sleep can be lost trying to recapture their own part of the mattress. If separate beds is not an attractive solution, then what is? Ford presents the Lane-Keeping Bed. Car technology has been applied here, which ensures that even the most pushy bed partner stays neatly in their 'own lane' at night.

Lane-Keeping Aid is a technology available in most new Fords. The system monitors road markings on the road ahead. When the driver threatens to drive outside the lines, the vehicle gently sends the driver back between the lines by making a subtle 'steering correction' and steering in the right direction. Using camera systems that are also used for other driving assistance functions, Lane-Keeping Aid helps prevent drivers from unintentionally leaving their lane.

This technology is the inspiration for the Lane-Keeping Bed. The bed uses pressure sensors to detect when someone has left their own side of the bed. As a result, the sleeper is gently returned to its own half with the aid of an integrated conveyor belt.
