Tired of fresh candles dripping wax onto your tablecloth? Fortunately, this tried-and-true grandmother's trick using just salt keeps surfaces spotless.
All you need is coarse salt. Here's how it works:

1. Take coarse salt.
2. Arrange the grains around the wick.
3. Light your candle.
And that's it—the wax from your candle won't drip onto the table :-)
Be careful to arrange the grains of coarse salt around the wick, without touching the wick.
You can now light your candle and avoid damage.
And for an alternative tip: put a tablespoon of coarse salt in 1 liter of water.
Soak your new candles in salt water for a few hours.
