- white vinegar

- a suitable scrubbing brush

- repair tape (yes, tape! You'll see why later)

How to

1. Turn off the water supply to your toilet. FYI, it's not complicated. Just turn off the tap at the end of the small tube connected to your toilet. At my house, the water tap looks like this:

2. After shutting off the water supply, flush the toilet to completely empty the tank. Pour 3 to 4 liters of water into the tank to drain the remaining water.

3. With a suitable brush, scrub the underside of the rim of the bowl don't forget the holes through which the water comes out when flushing. It is important to clean them well, as it is essential to keep your toilets clean longer.

4. Wipe a cloth or paper towel under the bowl to completely dry the surface.

5. Once the surface is clean and dry, plug any holes under the rim of the tub with masking tape. Make sure the tape is stuck on well and stays in place.

6. Pour a good amount of white vinegar into your toilet tank.

7. Flush. This will allow the white vinegar to enter the holes under the rim of the tank and above all to stay there , because the adhesive tape will prevent it from leaking.

8. Let the magic of white vinegar work overnight.

9. The next day, remove the tape and turn on the water tap. Flush the toilet 2 or 3 times to evacuate all the lime deposits!

Result

There you go, you will now be able to keep your toilets clean for a long time :-)

Your toilets are completely descaled, no more yellow limestone deposits on the bowl!

You removed the limestone without using chemicals. It's much better for the environment and your septic tank if you have one.

The best time to deep clean your toilet is in the evening , before going to bed.

Thus, the vinegar has time to act overnight in order to dissolve the limescale deposits that block the holes under the rim of the bowl.

Why does it work?

This technique works because it gets to the root of the problem which are the holes under the rim of the tank that clog due to limescale.

And who says clogged holes, says less water to evacuate dirt in your toilet!
