If the stain is still damp and fresh, remember to first absorb as much wine as possible with paper towel.

Now you'll know what to do if it happens to you during lunch.

Additional advice

Obviously, this trick works to remove wine stains on all types of fabric (cotton, linen), including tablecloths.

This remedy is perfect for white tissue. For other colors, test first on a small area to see what happens.

Know that this method works much better than those that use baking soda, white vinegar or soapy water.

On the other hand, avoid putting coarse salt on it. It may react with the tannin and set the stain. Oxidation will make the stain even harder to remove.
