Here's how:

It's simple: use the compartment with the blue color or flower/clover symbol.
Pour up to the marked line—never exceed it, or clothes may feel sticky from excess product.
Pro tip: White vinegar works great as a natural alternative to commercial softeners like Soupline. It's cost-effective and equally efficient—just add it here. Starch goes in the same spot.
Add it before starting the cycle.

Detergent, softener, and pre-wash—that's the standard setup.
No explosions, but your wash suffers. The machine dispenses products at precise cycle stages: detergent first, softener later.
Mix them up, and detergent releases too late (poor rinsing) while softener acts prematurely (negating its benefits). Result: stiff, unclean laundry.
Liquid or powder detergent goes in the largest compartment, marked with the "II" symbol.
For dosing balls or dissolvable pods, place directly in the drum.
This smaller section, marked with "I", is for pre-wash. Use a stain remover here on heavily soiled loads with a pre-wash cycle.
