In a typical year, I take just 2 to 3 baths at most. The rest of the time, I shower at least once a day.
Why do I skip baths? First off, I don't have a bathtub at home—that doesn't help! But even if I did, I'm not sure I'd indulge often. Sure, I'd occasionally treat myself after a tough week, just like I do on hotel vacations with a relaxing baking soda soak.
That said, I genuinely love showers. I sometimes linger too long under the water, but they still use far less than a full tub. After checking the numbers, one bath equals 5 to 7 showers in water volume. That's real savings on water energy, and your utility bills.
Showers are also more hygienic. Unlike baths, where you soak in your own impurities, a shower rinses them away immediately—simple logic backed by daily experience.
I even skip washing some days, and my skin thanks me for it. It's tougher after sports, of course.
