Baby powder

If you don't have baby powder at home, you can easily replace it with talcum powder. Gives the same result.


Remove oil stains from clothing
:oil splatters on your clothes from frying? Sprinkle some baby powder or cornstarch on a sponge and dab it on the stain(s). Rub it in and brush it off as soon as the stain disappears.

Washing hair without shampoo :baby powder is very suitable as a dry shampoo for both humans and animals. Simply rub into the hair and then comb/brush out. The powder will absorb grease and leave the hair or coat clean and smelling good.

Easily put on rubber gloves :New rubber gloves often have a powder on the inside that makes them easy to put on and take off. Next time you go to the beach, take a can of baby powder with you:sprinkle it over the (wet) body and the sand can be wiped off very easily.

Protect light bulbs from insects :light automatically attracts insects. To prevent this, before using a new lamp, it can be wiped with baby powder. This keeps insects at a distance.

For card game enthusiasts :playing cards lightly dusted with baby powder no longer stick together and are easy to shuffle.

Fix creaky floors :sometimes a (hard) wooden floor creaks or squeaks in certain places. This is easily remedied by throwing some baby powder on it. Sweep back and forth with a broom until all the powder between the joints has disappeared. The creaking and squeaking is a thing of the past.

Clean up small scratches from (glasses) lenses :small scratches on (glasses) lenses? No worries! Make a paste of baby or talcum powder and water. Gently rub this paste over the glass and then brush it clean. Scratches will disappear and vision will become clear again.

Sleep well :if it is very hot, the following can be a solution to still be able to sleep well:sprinkle some baby powder between the sheets. This has a cooling effect and you can enjoy a wonderful night's sleep again.

Baking equipment

Baking utensils can not only be used for baking. Be surprised by the many possibilities that baking supplies offer you.

Make the dessert as desired, place the aluminum molds in the muffin tin, pour in the dessert, let it set in the fridge and ready. Everyone can enjoy a delicious dessert, everyone gets the same amount and there is no washing up, because the mold is simply thrown away after use.

Everything clear while cooking :Put everything you need in the molds of a muffin tin. Sliced ​​onions, sliced ​​vegetables, etc. everything can go in, cling film over it and everything is at hand during cooking, clear and no extra mess has to be made.

You can also cook in baking tins :potatoes, stuffed peppers, apples and tomatoes cook faster if you prepare them in a muffin tin.

Nice way of serving for (sick) children :a toddler who makes a mess while eating, but also a sick child enjoys it when their food is served in a different, fun way. Take a muffin tin, divide the food or tasty snacks in it and it won't be a hassle and a sick child will immediately brighten up. The well-known Bento box idea, but a lot cheaper.

Ice creams homemade :a muffin pan comes in handy here too. Fill each mold with lemonade syrup or a tasty juice, put a wooden spoon in it, put it in the freezer and enjoy. You can also omit the spoon and just freeze leftover juice and the like to enjoy at a later time (put an ice cube in a glass, let it thaw and enjoy a glass of tasty juice).

Balloons

Balloons are not only fun, but can also be used in the household.

Helium balloon as duster :helium balloon in the house and dust or cobwebs on the ceiling? Nothing is easier than to put a dust cloth on the balloon and drag the balloon along the ceiling. Problem solved.

Ice cooling :always handy to have at home… Fill some balloons with water and tie them up. Put them in the freezer and you always have ice in the house in case of an emergency (e.g. in case of a fever, if someone burns themselves…)

Send a creative invite :why send a digital invitation or a regular card every time? Do something different, send an invitation by balloon. Blow up the balloon, write the invitation with a permanent marker on it, deflate the balloon again and send the empty balloon to the invitees.

Keep cat away :cats don't like balloons, so shouldn't the cat get on the couch? Put two or three balloons on it and the cat will stay far away from the couch.

Transport vase :an easy way to transport flowers and keep them fresh longer (certainly advisable during good weather). Fill a layer of water in the balloon, add the flowers and you have a handy transport vase made from a balloon.

Bananas

Tasty, healthy and also a great household product.

Fertilizing plants :Next time you eat banana, save the peel. You can use this as fertilizer for your plants, especially roses, vegetable plants and common house plants. You do this as follows:

– Let the skin dry
– Crumble the skin and store it in a sealed envelope at room temperature
– Add to the soil when planting

A special silver polish :toss the peels in the blender until they are pure and use this as a substitute for silver polish.

Banana peel makes shoes shine :rub leather shoes with the insides, with a clean cloth and the shoes will shine as if they were new.

Bed sheets

Another item that may be discarded by many if it no longer meets the requirements, while there are still plenty of opportunities to use the old sheets.

Sheet while dyeing :nothing is more annoying than having to scratch away the paint splatters everywhere after painting. Prevent this by laying an old sheet on the floor or hanging it over the door, so that the paint splatters on it.

Easy to move old leaves :leaves swept into a heap and then? Wipe them in an old sheet, gather the sheet at all four corners and you can move the 'bag' of leaves to the compost pile in one go. Or throw them under that one tree in that forgotten corner.
