Ferm Living design for the interior

While looking for inspiration for nice things at home, I came across the brand Ferm Living. Not that I had never seen it before, but only now did it dawn on me how many items this Danish brand has in its collection.

A brief about the origin of Ferm Living

Ferm Living was founded in 2005, by Trine Andersen. What's nice is that this brand arose from the need for a certain wallpaper that Trine was looking for for her own home, but couldn't find it. Trine herself is a graphic design enthusiast with a retro touch. Bringing this together in a certain style of wallpaper was her very first wish for herself. However, it didn't stop there when it turned out that the need was not only present at Trine, but her style apparently could count on a lot of interest from other people.

After the success of her first designed wallpaper, it didn't take long before all kinds of accessories were added to the Ferm Living brand. And now… years later, Ferm Living is a Danish brand that is rock solid.

Ferm Living collections

The Ferm Living collections range from wallpaper (of course) to home accessories, but also from sofas to children's room items. The Scandinavian design is incredibly popular and I can understand why. I have completely fallen in love with the planter from Ferm Living. I'll see it in our house when we're finished with the renovation. And that couch? I really think the Catena Bank is more than beautiful. A picture to have at home and I think it fits really well. It's just expensive, haha, so I don't see that happening here for the time being. Certainly not if you consider the combination with growing children and pets here. Anyway, it does fall under the category of design sofas and some extras may be asked for that.

For the time being, I focus more on the accessories from Ferm Living, such as the plant box and the wall box, for example, which seem great with the piano. But I also like the Paper Pulp box. A bit of the egg carton type, but more fun. I think it's clever how someone designs these kinds of articles, then you are really creative. I also think the Hourglass flower pot (see above) is beautiful, fits nicely between our other black home accessories and I could also give the design lighting a place.

Colors and patterns within the collections

The colors and patterns within the Ferm Living collections are often in the basic segment with a Scandinavian touch. Think of black, white, gray, wood tones, but also terra cotta, old pink and blue are regularly used as basic shades. For example, if you look at the cushions and rugs of the Danish brand, you often see that the above colors are often combined.

All in all, Ferm Living is a brand with beautiful design in calm tones that actually fit in all rooms in the house. Likewise in the nursery, for example. Because what do you think of the cool dollhouse below? Or that kitchen? They can easily get a nice place in the living room.

Do you also think this is such a cool brand? And if so, do you already have something from Ferm Living such as wall stickers in your home (and then what?). Feel free to leave a comment!
