Design living room decoration and industrial style:our ideas

The industrial, chic and modern atmosphere is a very old trend. Born in the 1920s in the United States, it has been making a strong comeback in our interiors for a few years, without going out of style! To furnish your living room in a design and industrial style, here are our ideas!

Raw and chic walls

The industrial style is chic and raw at the same time. The stone or brick wall is ideal for this! No need to overdo it, a wall or a section of wall is enough. Do not line the room with these coverings, at the risk of saturating your space. The manufacturer does not value white tones, but on the contrary aged, metal, brick and neutral tones such as gray or beige. Brick or stone are noble and trendy materials which, if before were a symbol of the poor environment of factories, now want to be chic and glamorous. They bring a natural warmth that invites conviviality and calm. Bring light by combining beige, cream, gray or taupe walls and you're done for a cozy industrial living room!

A raw floor

Crude is also found on the ground. No frills with the industrial style, but that doesn't mean you have to avoid chic and elegant. Waxed concrete or vinyl paving are very popular for their urban style. Prefer gray, light or dark tones, but avoid the blond tones of certain floors, at the risk of getting closer to the Scandinavian style than the industrial style. On a light floor, enhance it with a dark note with a warm rug, and vice versa.

Modern and functional furniture

The furniture in a design and industrial living room is both modern and refined. It is intended to be functional, in raw wood or metal, or even both for a more beautiful effect. Go for an aged, natural look; the result will only be more chic and successful. The trend is for wooden coffee tables mounted on large metal wheels, aged leather sofas in warm chocolate colors and wood and metal furniture adorned with pieces found in flea markets.

The industrial style leaves little room for the television. To judiciously blend it into the decor, it is interesting to fix it, for example, on a TV wall bracket created by Vogel's.

The canopy

The glass roof is THE centerpiece of the industrial fair! Very trendy, it comes in many forms to evoke industrial buildings. Ideal for separating the living room from the rest of the living room or kitchen, it lets light in while filtering cooking odors. It also gives a feeling of larger and larger space, warm and pleasant to live in

The importance of light fixtures

The industrial style leaves a lot of room for lighting. The reason is simple ! Factories and industrial buildings are dark spaces that are not very open to the outside; they therefore need inner light! Metal pendant lights are perfect in this style. You can opt for a large, aesthetically pleasing metal fixture, or a set of small, trendy pendant lights to hang low above your coffee table.

Decorative accessories

To stick to the industrial style without overdoing it, decorate your decor with simple and raw accessories reminiscent of the world of industrial work. If you can find it easily in flea markets, also know that a large number of vintage shops have opened up everywhere with the renewed emergence of this popular style. You will be spoiled for choice!
