Natural gardening or organic gardening?

If the difference is subtle, it exists.

I have met gardeners who call themselves organic, understanding "use only products accepted in organic farming to treat or fertilize the garden". For example:during an aphid attack, I only use black soap, or a pyrethrum-based insecticide...

Even if the products used are labeled AB, they are not without danger since they have a destructive power.

natural gardening , is to live with the cycles:seasons, invasions, cultures, etc. Take the example of aphid attack on broad beans or roses.

  • First case of "organic gardening “, I spray my attacked plants with an AB approved product.
  • Second case of “natural gardening ", I let the helpers come who will have enough to eat and therefore will be able to reproduce. You have to be patient, know how to sacrifice certain plants, have great biodiversity, practice the eradicating method of eliminating affected plant parts... and ask yourself why the aphids got there! Fragile plants? Weak? Poorly maintained? In the wrong place? The causes are multiple and discovering them is finding part of the solution.

Gardening naturally requires patience, humility, reflection. Nothing prevents the organic gardener from working his garden naturally!

And remember that gardening is not an exact science...
