All you need is bubble wrap.

Simply wrap the flower pot like this:

How to

1. Cut enough bubble wrap to wrap around the flower pot, allowing an extra 5 cm to protrude from the top.

2. Wrap the bubble wrap around the pot. For fragile plants, cover the entire plant as well.

3. Secure it with string.

4. (Optional) For added protection, layer burlap on top.

Result

Your plants will stay insulated and warm all winter long. Remember to remove the covering when warmer weather returns.
