We've all snapped an umbrella at some point—and usually more than once. But there's no need to toss it straight into the trash.
As the saying goes: "Nothing is lost, everything can be recovered."
Instead of discarding them, repurpose that umbrella handle into a perfect spot for hanging jackets and coats.

1. Collect the umbrella handle.
2. Glue the handle securely to a wooden board using extra-strong adhesive.
3. Screw the wooden board directly to the wall.
And voilà—you've crafted a beautiful coat rack from a broken umbrella! :-)
If you have 4 or 5 handles on hand, you're in luck. Arrange them into a stunning, vintage-style wall of original coat hooks.
The key is salvaging just the handle. Sometimes you'll need to melt the glue; other times, saw or unscrew it. Every umbrella is unique.
With the umbrella's frame and ribs, create a handy laundry drying rack for your small loads.
As you can see, almost anything can become a coat rack. Today's designers adore repurposed objects: funnels, spoons on boards, doll limbs, flat shovels, joysticks, driftwood with hangers—you name it.
So why not an old umbrella?
