I've relied on natural, homemade cleaning recipes for years to keep my home spotless without breaking the bank.
Why make the switch? Homemade products deliver two key advantages over commercial ones: major cost savings on cleaning supplies, and full control over ingredients for safer home care.

This approach lets you skip the toxic chemicals lurking in many store-bought cleaners, protecting your family.
Here's my proven, budget-friendly recipe for homemade dishwasher tablets:

For 28-56 tablets:
These amounts fill two trays; cut tablets in half for 28-56 pieces.
1. Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
2. Gradually add white vinegar, stirring until it clumps.
3. Stop when the mixture starts fizzing and holds together.

Note: Expect mild fizzing from the vinegar.
4. Stir in lemon essential oil.
5. Pack firmly into ice cube trays.

Note: Compress tightly for solid tablets.
6. Dry in a sunny, dry spot for at least 24 hours.
7. Unmold once fully hardened.

Store in airtight glass jars to keep moisture out. This is a fantastic, natural alternative to commercial tablets.

Place 1 tablet in your dishwasher's detergent compartment per load.
For extra power, add up to 3 drops of dish soap—no more, to avoid foam overflow.
Cut larger tablets in half if needed.
Add 10-20 cl white vinegar to the rinse compartment, especially for hard water to prevent spots on glassware.

These tablets deliver impeccable results, as shown above. I've used this recipe for years—dishes come out cleaner than with store-bought options, without harmful chemicals.
You save money, use natural ingredients, and never run out. Note: This is soda crystal-free; for a version with them, check other recipes.
