1. Inquire for é estimate how much this animal will cost you on an annual basis (care, food, etc.). Be aware that exotic animals (birds, reptiles...) are sometimes more difficult to treat, and that veterinarians are less used to treating them.
2. If you live in an apartment , think of small mammals such as white mice or hamsters. Inexpensive to buy, they are also easy to maintain and require less attention than a dog or a cat.
3. Do not orient yourself towards an animal by 'chance' , do not tell yourself that the occasion makes the thief. Never choose an animal only on announcement, it is really advisable to meet him before and see if the current passes between you.
4. In a litter, choose the animal that spontaneously comes to you . Don't try to impose yourself, you might be disappointed.
5. If you have m reduced financial means , but you would like to have a dog or a cat,let those around you know that you are looking for a little companion. Choose shelters or animals born from a litter of relatives. Purebred animals sometimes cost up to €1,000 each. However, they are not more affectionate nor more intelligent than the "bastards".
Be aware that for a dog, when it is LOF certified, it will cost you more. If you don't want to make it a competition beast, you don't need this certification...
