Winter weather keeps us indoors for now, but spring and summer are right around the corner. Last year, we installed a sturdy canopy roof, and we'll soon add a ceiling and fresh white paint to the shed wall behind it. That's when I'll unleash my creativity with outdoor wall decorations to transform the space into a cozy retreat.

For months, I've been curating pieces that will shine under the canopy. My plan: collect enough wall decor by spring to hang them all at once. It's a solid strategy, though matching them perfectly has been tricky as my style evolves.
Initially drawn to white, black, and wood tones, I've since added pastel accents. Blending these colors cohesively is challenging, but with a paintbrush, I can unify them. I'm anchoring the design around a pampas grass Dibond wall circle from Seemly, adjusting everything else to complement it. Black accessories might not fit, so they'll stay indoors. The top-right circle (white with orange-brown) needs repainting—perhaps a soft beige? Suggestions welcome. The top-left rattan circle should blend nicely, and I'll paint a matching wall circle to tie the rounds together.
To add playfulness, mixing shapes works wonders. Consider a rectangular wooden panel or natural elements like banana leaves, mango leaves, or palm fronds. A pot of pampas grass or bamboo adds texture too.
DIY options like floating shelves or a macramé hanger—typically indoor staples—thrive outdoors under cover, evoking a beachy vibe. Our deer skull (currently in the hall) and a statement mirror will round it out.
Alternatively, sticking to rounds creates a serene, unified look. Match styles carefully, as shown in these examples.
I selected a Dibond wall circle for outdoors, suitable for verandas or garden rooms. I've double-checked its weather resistance to ensure longevity.
If needed, it would make a stunning indoor piece too. Seemly offers diverse wall circles that shift atmospheres effortlessly.
