Digital printing has taken hold of the subject and, thanks to its ability to produce large formats, has made mural trompe-l'oeil one of its favorite signatures.
In the case of wall decoration, we can distinguish several aspects around this use and the drawings of frescoes have given way to photography or computer graphics printed on wall posters or wallpapers.
In the world of wall decoration, however, two cases stand out:
Advances in photography and reproduction have made it possible to renew the technique of the 1970s, which presented a view of a beach, mountain or other forest with a burst of color that was sometimes a little strong.
With the printing of large-format posters or wallpapers, the "digital" era now offers models that are completely convincing and which will fully play their role as the decor of your interior scenes.
The "historiated" side, from one end to the other of the image which becomes the background is interesting. Imagine the elements that will be able to foreground wall decoration and which will emphasize the theme even more:
The image perspective , i.e. the framing angle and the composition, is also important:the images are chosen or produced without giving too much emphasis on the point of view from which they will be viewed, this to maintain a semblance of reality .

For these trompe-l’œil , it is also, at your choice, the possibility of a foreground which simulates a barrier, uprights of bay windows, a post... These elements reinforce the illusion by creating a more explicit context which is more suitable for some than for others. Knowing that in the case of a visual without an "explicit" foreground, the sofa, the chairs, a piece of furniture can also play this role.
In this case we seek to give the maximum illusion of matter photographed. For this, the techniques of shooting and image processing allow us to obtain high levels of definition to give up to a very short distance the feeling of the original material.
This is the case with red bricks or white bricks, quilting, stone walls, wooden doors... or even "false" bookcases.
Whether it is to give a story to your room or a visual material effect, the trompe-l'œil patterns are an interesting possibility to express the originality of your interior.
This type of visual, quite underlined, is well suited for one of the walls of the room. We will gladly talk about wall decor rather than wall decoration. The large dimensions of our products, posters, hangings or wallpapers, allow you to create a real interior decor.
