Whether referring to the compact, multi-stemmed shrub or its sweet berries, blueberries deliver joy year after year. My established bushes yield abundant fruit all summer, delighting gardeners of all ages.
Blueberries demand acidic soil. Since my garden soil is calcareous, I created raised beds with pallet boards filled with heather earth, mimicking ideal vegetable plots. For simplicity, grow them in pots—they thrive even better in overly alkaline ground.
