As of today, Ikea has opened a temporary gift shop in Hoog Catharijne in Utrecht; the Ikea Gift Shop. In this temporary Gift Shop, customers will be surprised until December 31 with specially selected products from the Ikea range. It is the first time that IKEA opens a store in the city center, focused on the holidays. There are individual gifts available, but also various gift sets for the kitchen, living room and bedroom. There is a special offer for children, including cuddly toys, books, toys and stationery.
Various activities also take place; such as custom personalized rhymes to add to your gift, sending personalized postcards and a booth for the annual 'wrong' Christmas photo. You also have the option to make gifts extra personal at the wrapping table with countless types of wrapping paper and packaging. In the 'video booth' you can record a message after which you will receive a sticker with a unique QR code that can be stuck on the gift. With a smartphone app, the recipient scans this code and the personal video becomes visible.
