A kitchen or a jacuzzi in the veranda?

By building a veranda you offer yourself the possibility of having an additional room that you can later transform into a kitchen or why not simply into an indoor jacuzzi? Find your inspirations in this article.

Who will say no to a jacuzzi in their house?

Even if the craze today is for removable pools, for me, nothing beats a custom hard jacuzzi. For good reason, apart from being a space for play, leisure and relaxation throughout the summer, this body of water also increases the rental or resale value of the property. Especially in the case where the owners plan to put the house on the market later. And it's even better if the jacuzzi is inside the house.

No more wintering and other problems. Whether it's windy or raining, you can swim there all year round, ignoring the vagaries of the climate and the weather. And the veranda, a bright, custom-made living room, lends itself wonderfully to this use. A big fan of relaxation, one of my work colleagues expressly built a veranda to create a small wellness area and jacuzzi at home. To realize his project, major works were necessary.

This veranda really cost him dearly, but the effect is really more beautiful and more modern. The new extension has really changed the design and aesthetics of its interior. The proof, he has already received more than a dozen purchase proposals for his house. And to my surprise, he confided to me that the construction of the new room was not the most expensive, insofar as he opted for a model of veranda in kit. It was rather the installation of the jacuzzi that required expensive fittings (electricity, water supply, etc.).

Many constraints are in fact to be taken into consideration, to mention only the great ease of condensation of this glazed room. With an indoor jacuzzi, especially if the pool is heated, humidity will quickly invade the space. To remedy this problem, the veranda must be both excellently insulated, but also very well ventilated.

Are you finally building the kitchen of your dreams?

Are you cramped in your kitchen? Having a veranda built may finally be the opportunity for you to enjoy a kitchen that is both spacious and bright. I fully agree with this idea, especially if this additional room is near a terrace or a garden and is therefore open to the outside. Only downside, here space requirements must be respected.

Indeed, to accommodate appliances, work plan, furniture, storage systems, plumbing, dining area and others, more than twenty square meters will be needed. And that's not to mention the necessary distances to observe between each element of the kitchen, so that you are comfortable in your movements and gestures.

Unless you opt for an extra kitchen. In addition, a functional kitchen will not be able to ignore a connection to a gas, water and electricity network. Not to mention the disposal of waste water. This is why I advise you to carefully weigh the pros and cons before embarking on the layout of the kitchen in your veranda.
