Can a sliding gate be installed with an angle?

Does a narrow driveway surrounded by walls necessarily mean that you should refrain from installing a sliding gate? Fortunately, manufacturers can respond to this type of problem.

Angle:does this prevent the placement of a portal?

The presence of walls or beautiful trees or plants can make it difficult to install a gate. When you don't want a swing gate and prefer a sliding gate, you have to find solutions to overcome the problem.

The presence of an angle implies having to install a curved rail. The gate will be cut into two or more sections, depending on the manufacturers, so that each one slides, following this particular rail, which hugs the 90° angle.

It is obvious that the design, the installation of the rail on the ground and the installation of such a sliding gate cannot be done without the expertise of a professional. We then speak more precisely of a lateral sectional gate.

The direction of the opening, depending on the configuration of the place, must be specified with the professional. The rail will then be placed on the left or on the right for sliding in the same direction.

When the owner knows that he can find a sliding gate, even in the presence of an angle, he must now find the right material.

Which portal to choose when there is an angle?

The sectional sliding gate can be made of wood. But we must not forget that it will have to be maintained very regularly if we want to keep it for years. Every two years (sometimes once a year, if the gate is very exposed), it will be repainted or a new coat of stain applied.

Although it is also very light and inexpensive, PVC has been abandoned for a few years in favor of aluminium.

Aluminum gates are very easy to work with; which allows a lot of fantasy in terms of design. Even if it means announcing your style, as soon as you enter the property, you might as well do it with panache.

In addition to being beautiful and available in several sober or tonic colours, the gate can be solid, slatted, louvered or openwork to allow the wind to pass through. This is not to be underestimated, to guarantee its longevity. Maintenance free, it does not rust and does not fall victim to insects.

When requesting a quote, it is useful to specify the length of the desired gate, but also its height. Many models are offered and the diversity means that all owners can find their own. Bespoke design is a real plus to have a quality gate, made to last over time, but it is possible; apart from having to request a sliding gate on an angle; that it meets the standards in terms of dimensions.

A professional can be of good advice to choose the right gate, if only to limit wind resistance and ensure, during installation, the guarantee of quality work.
