Got laminate or solid hardwood floors at home? Wondering if white vinegar is safe for cleaning them?
Wooden surfaces can be delicate, but rest assured: white vinegar is an excellent, gentle cleaner that leaves floors shining without damage—when used correctly.
The key is diluting it in hot water for optimal results.

Never apply pure white vinegar directly—it can harm the wood. Always dilute it in water.
Use soft microfiber cloths or mops; avoid abrasive brushes or cloths that could scratch the surface.
Wring out the mop thoroughly—excess water can cause swelling and damage.
Dry the floor promptly with a microfiber cloth to prevent vinegar residue from lingering.
250 ml white vinegar
4 liters hot water
Push broom
Mop
Microfiber cloth
Bucket
1. Vacuum the floor thoroughly to remove dust and debris.
2. Mix white vinegar and hot water in the bucket.
3. Dip the mop into the solution.
4. Wring it out well so it's damp, not dripping.
5. Mop in an "S" pattern across the floor.
6. Focus on stubborn stains and marks.
7. Rinse and wring the mop frequently.
8. Refresh the water if it becomes dirty.
9. Attach a dry microfiber cloth to the broom.
10. Buff the floor dry for a streak-free shine.

Your floors will look brand new—shiny and revitalized! This method is safe for oiled, unfinished, and laminate floors.
Use it up to twice a month. For varnished or waxed parquet, try 1 capful black soap and ½ capful white vinegar per liter of water.
