To degrease your kitchen, add three tablespoons of soda crystals with a teaspoon of Marseille soap to a one-liter bucket of hot water.

Mix everything and your elbow grease for rubbing is ready.

2. For washing clothes

To wash particularly dirty laundry, I advise you to add half a glass of soda crystals to the washing machine to clean everything thoroughly.

3. For washing floors

To wash floors and other surfaces in the home, mix a teaspoon of soda crystals with a liter of very hot water. And presto, more than rubbing.

4. To unclog drains

Finally, if you have blocked your pipes, mix a glass of salt and a glass of vinegar in which you will add a handful of soda crystals.

Pour this potion and use a suction cup so that it works well.

Wait thirty minutes and put a pan full of water boiling .

Use the plunger again to unclog your pipes and you're done.

Note: Be careful, soda crystals are more effective but also more corrosive, don't forget to use your gloves to protect your hands.

5. To clean silverware

This new trick was given to us by a reader, Michelle, who has been using it for decades. When she read this article on using soda crystals, she was kind enough to send us this little extra tip.

A very big thank you Michelle for sharing it with us! Now it's your turn to find out:

- Take a tin plate or an old saucepan lid.

- Put it in a plastic basin.

- Add a handful of soda crystals.

- Pour very hot water into it.

- Place the cutlery in the basin:the water must cover them.

- Rinse with warm water.

- Wipe with a soft cloth.

And voilà, your silverware is now sparkling :-)
