Struggling with head lice on your child? As a parent who's been there, I discovered a simple, effective baking soda solution that removes them quickly without harsh chemicals or hair damage.
When lice infest your child's hair, standard lotions often fall short. But baking soda offers a gentle, powerful alternative backed by real results in my household.
To make this homemade shampoo:
- Dilute one teaspoon of baking soda in lukewarm water (cold water works too, but warm is more comfortable).
- Gently massage into the scalp for 45 minutes. It takes patience, but this thorough application is key to success.
After treating the hair, wash all bedding and laundry at a minimum of 60°C to prevent reinfestation.

Anti-lice lotions cost €8-12 each. A 100g pack of baking soda is just €2, saving you at least €6 per treatment – and lice won't know the difference!
