Cheese Temptation Box • Tasting

We are testing a tasting box

I am delighted to have you back for a new article on my blog. But today, we are not going to talk about beauty or fashion, but about a subject that falls more into the "lifestyle" category of my blog:food ! And more specifically, I tested a new "food" box for you, I named Tentation Fromage!

As its name suggests, it is a box dedicated to cheeses and more particularly to those of local producers. We therefore have French and local products to taste. For this first test with this box, I wanted to present it to you on video, but also give you a "live" tasting . My darling joined the concept too and lent himself to the game to taste these cheeses with me! Without forgetting the wine haha.

Indeed, you can choose a "Cheese only" formula on the site, but also "Cheeses &wine" or "Cheeses, wine and charcuterie" top right? In short, for me it is the bonus of this box which allows us to taste something new (or not moreover if you know the wine in question). In any case, I liked the combination of the two in this box because it really is a great gift idea . For a woman of course, but also for a man (we often have trouble finding them gifts) or even for a gourmet couple. Without further ado, I leave you with the video.

To know about the box:

Two ranges are available:"Discovery" with 4 cheeses and "Experts" with 6 cheeses. As I told you in the introduction, you can also choose formulas with wine and/or charcuterie and subscribe for a period between 1 and 12 months. The Tentation Fromage box therefore adapts to your desires and your needs. For a gift idea it's really not bad!

The site also offers the purchase of ready-made cheese platters, according to themes and even individual cheeses at very affordable prices in my opinion. Especially for the quality of the products, as I said in the video, we clearly have cheeses from real local producers , it is not worth what you can buy in supermarkets (or even at the Lerclerc cheese dairy haha). We are on a good quality / price ratio in my opinion.

The cheeses come mainly from Parisian cheese dairies prestigious. So as I told you, we consume local and quality. And if you're in Paris, you can even have your cheese delivered in 30 minutes, pretty cool, isn't it?

The contents of my box:

So I received the January box which contained the following cheese references:

Cabri with Espelette pepper

“Under a thin layer of Espelette pepper reveals a melting and homogeneous white paste. There are goat aromas associated with its ripening. Made in La Chapelle-Saint-Laurent, Fromagerie Couturier goat cheeses are matured in the purest tradition of local cheeses. This small farm is home to only 160 goats! »

Traditional Tomme cheese

“This tomme has a slightly orange paste under its natural gray crust. Its creamy and unctuous paste in the mouth can give off sweet notes. This cheese maker from Holland had the brilliant idea of importing Gouda from the Netherlands and refining them using local techniques. This is how we find cow tommes in Berry, a region best known for its goat cheeses. »

The Pardou d’Estive

"Pardou d'Estive is a sheep's cheese made in the Hautes Vallées d'Ossau. The wide variety of flowers from the Pyrenees grazed by the sheep give this cheese a delicate flavor. It is Stéphane, a shepherd for more than 20 years who grazes his sheep at an altitude of 2000m. Once the milking is done, he makes the cheeses and has them matured in a stone tunnel at the foot of the mountain, in the Sousséou Valley. »

The Séchon

"It's a small cow's milk cheese with a dry texture. It may resemble Saint-Marcelin but it is matured longer, which gives it a more assertive taste in the mouth. After the Second World War, Jules Gerentes created a small family entity which collected milk from the farms of Yssingelais to transform it into cheese and resell it in the surrounding markets. »

The Florinut

"The Florinois has a deep brown rind sometimes covered with a fine white down. Its supple, very lightly salted paste delivers subtle aromas of nuts. The walnut liqueur used to refine this cheese is aged for 5 years in oak barrels by the famous Distillerie Denoix in Brive la Gaillarde. »
