How do you choose from the different types of duvets?

While a good bed and mattress are essential for a good night's sleep, the right duvet is the key to the most comfortable night's sleep. There are just a lot of different types on the market. So how do you choose from the different types of duvets available? Read on here quickly and discover which type is suitable for you.

What type of sleeper are you?
The first thing you should eat is what type of sleeper you are? Are you often cold in bed? Or are you warm and do you perspire a lot? Or are you somewhere in between? These are questions that are important when choosing a duvet type. It is important that a duvet regulates moisture, feels good and is suitable for the weather.

For which season do you buy a duvet?
We have four seasons, so our duvets also have to be adapted to it. After all, you don't want to lie under a thick winter duvet on hot summer days. You can choose to buy both a summer duvet and a winter duvet, which are specially made for the different seasons. It is also possible to purchase a 4-season duvet which consists of a spring/autumn duvet and a summer duvet. You can use these separately in the summer and together on the cold winter nights so that you are a bit warmer.

Which type of duvet suits you? There are different types of duvets:down, wool, cotton and synthetic. Which type you choose mainly depends on your personal preference. A down comforter is light and warm and absorbs moisture very well. The natural filling allows it to 'breathe' and is warm in winter and cool in summer. A woolen duvet has a good insulating function and can easily absorb moisture. This makes it suitable for people who perspire a lot at night. It feels warm in winter and breezy in summer, and is slightly heavier than a down comforter. A cotton duvet is very suitable for people who get warm quickly at night. It has excellent moisture regulation and is easily washable:a nice combination. A synthetic duvet is made from various types of manufactured fillings and therefore, unlike the other types of duvets, not natural. That is why synthetic duvets are ideal for people who suffer from allergies. In addition, they are lightweight, cheaper than down or wool duvets and practical to use and maintain.
