1. Baking soda

Baking soda is used for a multitude of things around the house. Among its many uses, it is very effective in combating unpleasant odors in shoes.

Just pour a good amount of baking soda into your shoes, whether sneakers, boots, moccasins, slippers or ballerinas, leather or synthetic material. It doesn't matter!

It must be left to act for 24 hours, the time for the bicarbonate to sanitize the shoe. After 24 hours, all you have to do is shake the shoes to remove the baking soda.

Do you feel something? Well no exactly! The baking soda absorbed the bad odors emanating from the shoes.

2. Diatomaceous earth

Less well known, diatomaceous earth is also an excellent natural shoe deodorizer.

To remove odors that bother you when you take your shoes off, pour diatomaceous earth into half-tights or nylon stockings. It's a good way to recycle damaged ones;-)

Tie a knot then insert your stocking filled with diatomaceous earth into the smelly shoe. Leave on for 5-48 hours and remove.

And there's no longer a single bad smell tickling your nostrils when you take off your shoes or open the shoe closet!

If you don't have old stockings or tights to use, you can put diatomaceous earth directly in your shoes to remove odors.

In this case, shake them well to remove the powder. But above all, always put your shoes on with a pair of socks. Diatomaceous earth tends to dry out the skin.
