Lawn Mower Too Expensive? Choose a Manual Mower.

Lawn Mower Too Expensive? Choose a Manual Mower.

The sunny days return with their nightmare:mowers, hedge trimmers and other rotary trimmers and trimmers. Is it the time of promotions in noise-canceling headphones or what? Dear Reader, we need to talk.

This afternoon, the weather is super nice, I would like to garden, but I can't. Either I put the music on or I get out of my house. There are 5 of my neighbors mowing at the same time and it will last until autumn, almost every day of good weather (so no rain in Brittany!). It's not that I don't like mowers. My own mower is my friend. But be careful, not the electric mower, nor the thermal one, and even less the ride-on-mini-tractor-quad. With them, I am no longer your friend at all, dear Reader!

Once you have it, you pay nothing more:mow without being mowed.

When purchased, the "manual" mower (link to Amazon), my mower, costs no more than a small classic electric or thermal one. It is very easy to use and starts every time. No need for electricity or fuel. As for the blades, they self-sharpen on a fixed blade while mowing. Goodbye battery to recharge, spark plugs, oil change, belt, overhaul/maintenance at the garage! (I heard 40 euros to recharge a battery, meuh yes!)

Less heavy:mow easily.

It glides as well as the others. I don't sweat anymore with her. Never back pain. (Is this also the case with the vibrations of a ride-on?) My children can use it (yeah! a husband too!). Watch out, ladies, don't be fooled. I live alone. But a husband can easily grow love handles seeing you so easily handle a push mower with one hand while on the phone with the other. Each in turn is a good compromise! Chéri can very well mow while drinking his aperitif with the other hand!

Requires as much time to use:mow every second.

But there is less to clean up afterwards. Just with an old glove, dry, and oil the blades and screws before winter. If you think you have too much to mow to have a manual mower:make more flower beds, or a vegetable garden. Children love to eat their own crops. And if there are no children around you, there are surely potential future friends with whom to share or exchange:"you mow my lawn with my super manual mower and I give you organic vegetables from my vegetable garden !"

Not always sold with bag:mow to melt.

That's the only downside. So what ? It nourishes my lawn to leave the grass mowed, and it keeps the humidity, when at the neighbor who picks up the grass, everything is yellow much earlier than at home. For this, it is necessary to cut every 2 weeks maximum. Of course when it is thirty centimeters high, it is no longer a garden, but a meadow. We must put sheep there! At worst, it puts love handles to work picking up grass with a lawn rake from one side, then the other, then one side, then the other.

But mow on mute, above all! I will be less furious.

Me, I mow when I want, and I don't disturb anyone. Not even my neighbor and her newborn during the siesta. Or the old folks across the street when it's Drucker time on Sundays. I save a lot of time. I can mow at 8 o'clock in the morning or at night, but not you, dear Reader, if you don't have a manual mower. So please avoid mowing the garden of your second home at 9:30 p.m. because you're coming back from vacation tomorrow. Thanks for the native!

Bonus for blond heads.

Those with plenty of toys to pick up before mowing will love strapping on a backpack and picking up toys as they go while mowing. Saving time and trips to the toy box guaranteed!

Savings Achieved

My manual mower cost me €80 in my DIY store . Too bad, I was out of internet at the time, I could have had one online for less than 65€ at our partner Amazon . Too bad, considering all that I save with it to enjoy my garden without bothering my neighbors, I'm very happy:
- energy, electricity, petrol,
- investment,
- waste, recycling,
- storage room,
- weight,
- club sports, expensive home equipment,
- noise pollution,
- maintenance, mechanic, cleaning,
- noise canceling headphones,
-prozac,
- visits to the ENT,... and I surely forget some.
Now, I really want to ask you if you don't feel like you've been fooled with your death machines that kill... the ears!
