Tips for a successful summer party

With the final weeks of summer approaching, cooler days will soon force us to spend more time indoors. That means it's time to host the last few summer parties of the season for your family, friends, and/or neighbors. And because these are the last days of summer, you can go all out and make a summer party a little more special. Here are some tips for a successful summer party!

Keep it easy
Summer means barbecuing, so what better than to end the summer with a barbeque in your backyard or in a park. Choose a simple option that doesn't require you to spend a lot of time in the kitchen while everyone else is enjoying the fun outside! Go for an A-Z bbq package where you can choose from different marinated barbecue meat menus, which also include various salads, baguettes and sauces. And not only that, you also get porcelain plates, stainless steel cutlery and a barbecue with gas bottle for free at home, and afterwards you can simply place all dirty dishes back in the supplied crates. So you don't have to do a lot of shopping, you don't have to spend too long in the kitchen, and you don't have to do the dishes after the party is over. Nice and easy!

Plan ahead
Make a list of what to do and when. Send invitations and create a timeline. Say yes when the invitees offer to bring a dessert, bottle of wine or beer. This relieves you (and your wallet) and saves you time.

Set the tone
Do you have enough chairs and tables? Where are you going to put them? Make sure you decorate your garden so that it looks festive. Set up a table with different drinks and ice cream. Think about where you will put the barbecue and a table with all the food. Preferably not in direct sunlight. Also put down a few trash cans and an umbrella.

Provide some entertainment
While it's great fun being with family and friends, sometimes you need some games and music to really get the party started. Think of some simple games that don't require much preparation, and put together a good playlist. If you know there will be a lot of young children, arrange for someone to keep them entertained so the adults can have some relaxation.

Have a backup plan
No matter how well you prepared, and kept an eye on the weather, we all know that the Dutch weather can change in no time. A backup plan is therefore something that you should not forget. You can order a gourmet dish in case the weather is not as summery as you initially thought. Then you can easily move the party indoors and still have a lot of fun.

Don't forget the vegetarians/vegans
Not everyone eats meat, so as a hostess you should remember that some guests may not eat burgers and sausages. If you're not sure if all your guests eat meat, you should ask to make sure everyone gets their money's worth. You can throw delicious vegetables and fruit on the barbecue, get fish at home and possibly buy meat substitutes.

Have fun
Now you are ready to throw the best summer party, and the most important thing is to just have a lot of fun to get through the wet, cold winter days. Have fun!
