Do you know any tips for making a room or living space bigger? :)

So here are some little "tips", ideas and tricks for arranging and arranging your space in order to enlarge a room ...to breathe!

  • The white yes ! It's a bit like the first reflex. But avoid the total white look. It is ultimately lifeless, without perspective or space. Dish. Obviously, it's beautiful, refined and pleasant to live in, but with hints of soft colors, pastel tones , gradients, the gaze travels, moves and ultimately sees further. And poof, it looks bigger!
  • Using Perspective Rulers:Horizontal Lines , bring calm and plenitude, and they open the horizon! Unlike the vertical lines that enclose us, stop the gaze. The oblique lines , very trendy, are a tool to direct the gaze. Very trendy and VERY effective! Some "non-repetitive" decorative wallpapers offer visuals adapted to enlargement issues.

  • Playing with tones. This is the chromatic perspective :dark colors in the foreground and the further away you go, the lighter the colors become. For example, your entrance can be fuchsia pink, dense. The small corridor that goes to the small living room (because I remind you that your space is small and you have to enlarge it!) is pink, and your living room, pale pink or beige. When you arrive home, your gaze moves from shot to shot. It gives the illusion of infinite space (no, I'm not exaggerating… :) )

  • Use a trompe l'oeil wallpaper or poster in wall decoration. A life-size photo of an open door glued to the wall at the end of the hallway (it makes you want to open this fake door, doesn't it?), or a photo with a view of the city for example!

  • If the soil of your room is clear , it's better. With a choice of large planks if you opt for parquet, large tiles for tiles...

Enlargement and many simple little things:

  • Avoid the Norman wardrobe! Large pieces of furniture "eat up" all the space, invade your interior.
  • Place a mirror next to the window, it will bring in the light in your apartment or house.
  • Place bedside lamps in the corners of your living room, so that the entire volume appears (the mirror near these light sources can also enhance the light and visible volumes).
  • Avoid dark curtains with heavy patterns.
  • Do not adopt a Newfoundland dog! :D
  • Ranger ….it's as you want but it can help to enlarge a room in your interior;)

To enlarge with the wall decoration, don't hesitate to take a look at the small Scenolia shop, posters and wallpapers, especially in the Trompe l'oeil category.
