A wall-mounted fireplace offers timeless beauty and impressive practicality. Vacuuming underneath is effortless, the floor stays cleaner, and the panoramic view surpasses our previous freestanding wood stove.
As shared in prior blogs, we fully renovated our living room, kitchen, and dining area: removed dated ceilings, demolished walls, installed new flooring and steel beams, and plastered everything. It was a major project spanning months, with just finishing touches remaining.
Our old setup featured a wood stove in a traditional fireplace (see photos below). We planned to remove the chimney and upgrade with a new flue pipe.
Admittedly, the old stove had charm, but demolition revealed extensive damage: a faulty rear panel, broken closure mechanism, and degraded heat-resistant stones. Tiles behind it also needed removal, rendering it unsafe and inefficient due to age.

Our installer confirmed flexibility, but we prefer reverse firing: large logs at bottom, building up to kindling and firelighters. It ignites reliably without constant tending—perfect. Pair with stylish log storage for the ideal setup.
The elevated position simplifies maintenance. We use an ash vacuum regularly and wipe glass with a streak-free damp cloth—quick and easy.
We're delighted: its wall-mounted design is visually striking, user-friendly at this height, radiates cozy heat, and three-sided flames create ambiance no other could match. A premium, long-term investment—especially with gas costs, we enjoy frequent use without regret.
