Next came material selection. Self-adhesive tempted me, but with 1.12 m wide, heavy strips, I'm glad I skipped it—misplacement could've been disastrous.
I chose Eco Premium for its heavy-metal-free formula and scratch resistance, ideal for our home. Vinyl is even tougher (tear-resistant), and I'd pick it next time for extra durability.
My partner Frank was excited, though I hid my nerves about potential mishaps. Last weekend, we tackled it—and it was a workout.
It's doable solo for pros, but teamwork is key for alignment. Start on a straight wall without doors; ours overlapped the frame, complicating cuts and lacking clear edges.
Precise strip matching ensures seamless Highlander continuity—impossible alone without expertise.
Nikkel Art included Perfax Roll-on Magic paste—a smart touch. Mix powder with water, stir out lumps (mine weren't perfect, but fixable on the wall). Apply to the wall, not the paper—far easier.
The pink paste turns clear when dry, showing coverage. Use a block brush for even application, then follow instructions. Initially anxious about paste quantity, plumb lines, cuts, and fit, my confidence grew as we progressed.
