Borax-free slime starts with glue, baking soda, and saline solution (like contact lens solution). Opt for clear gel glue for see-through effects or white glue for opaque slime.

For smooth glitter slime, mix 4 oz. glue, ½ tablespoon baking soda, and 1 tablespoon contact lens solution. With clear glue, blend in food coloring and glitter. Stir until combined.

The more you knead, the firmer it gets. Too dry? Add contact lens solution. Too sticky? Dust with baking soda.

Chalkboard slime adds drawing fun for creepy monsters or jack-o'-lanterns. Use white glue in the base recipe, plus 2 tablespoons chalkboard paint.

Knead until slime forms. Draw with a chalk marker—regular chalk won't stick.

Make extras for Halloween giveaways at parties—parents and kids love this candy alternative. Top with a googly eye for extra spook. Try glow-in-the-dark chalk and crayon bones too!
