Begin by winding the cotton clothesline into tight coils on a flat work surface, securing with hot glue as you go. Build up layers until you reach coaster size, then trim and glue the end securely.

For the citrus slice stencil, trace a circle slightly smaller than your coaster onto craft foam. Draw a smaller inner circle, then cut wedge shapes for segments, leaving gaps between them. The center foam becomes the pith.
