I used fabric softener in my laundry for a very long time. But it is quite expensive.
Here is how I now make my natural fabric softener myself.
Here is a trick that, in addition to saving me money, allows me to choose the perfume of my fabric softener.
- white vinegar
- citrus peel
1. I pour into a salad bowl 2 or 3 glasses of white vinegar.
2. I add the citrus peel that tempt me (sometimes lemon, orange, or a mixture of citrus fruits).
3. I let it soak all night .
4. The next day, I remove the bark .
And there you have it, you have made your natural homemade fabric softener for your laundry :-)

White vinegar is an excellent homemade fabric softener .
Its main drawback is perhaps a smell which does not appeal to everyone, but with this trick it smells delicious.
So I put 2 spoons in the last rinse cycle of each machine.
