Classic Lemon Bars Recipe: Easy Buttery Crust and Tangy Filling
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (for crust)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for filling)
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- 6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine softened butter, salt, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, and 2 cups flour. Mix until crumbly, then press evenly into a 9x13-inch pan. Bake for 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk granulated sugar and 1/4 cup flour. Stir in beaten eggs and lemon juice until smooth.
