Easy to make and extra adorable, the sweet pool noodle noodle is about to be your new favorite Halloween craft project. Just add matching knee-high socks and a few accessories, and your front door or Halloween tree is ready for trick-or-treating.

This DIY Halloween project is not only easy, but also inexpensive. This time of year pool noodles are for sale (or, better yet, the ones still floating in your pool) and festive striped socks can be found for a dollar. A pair of socks and a pool noodle can get you 4-5 pieces of giant candy.

Cut the toes off each knee-length sock, then cut the remaining tube in half. Note: The length of the socks you have will determine the length to which you should cut your pool noodles. Adult socks versus children's socks will have more length.

Using a knife, cut the pool noodles into sections that are a couple inches smaller than the length of the sock. You want an extra sock on each side of the cut pool noodles to tie.

Insert pool noodles into a sock section. The noodle should fit comfortably inside. Make sure there is a little excess sock on each side of the noodles.

Cover pool noodles and sock with clear cellophane. Using a tie, sew the two ends of the cellophane and the sock together. Trim off any excess so the pool noodles look like candy.

Additional embellishments like curly ribbon can be added to cover the twist ties.
