Roll out the white modeling clay to 3/4" to 1/2" thick and slightly over 4" in diameter. Use a utility knife to cut small pieces of colored clay into varied shapes and sizes.

Arrange the multicolored clay pieces randomly on the white base. Gently roll them in with a craft roller until fully embedded and the surface is smooth. Maintain at least 1/4" thickness.

Press the circle cookie cutter firmly into the clay sheet and carefully remove the individual coasters.
