Step-by-Step Instructions
- Protect your work surface with newspaper. Lay out your sheet of paper. For paper bags, separate along the seam, open printed side down, and press with an iron to remove wrinkles. You'll decorate the inside.
- Squeeze acrylic paint into the tray and add an equal amount of conditioner. Mix well. Load the roller, then roll off excess on the tray's ridged edge to prevent pooling under the stencil.
- Position the template so openings overhang the paper edges for full coverage. Secure corners with blue painter's tape—it won't tear paper. Mark registration holes with a pencil.
- Roll from outer edges toward the center, adjusting pressure as paint penetrates. Continue until the stencil is fully inked.
- Reposition using registration marks and repeat to cover the sheet.
- Experiment with one color or multiples—overlay patterns for depth. Any stencil design works.
- Embellish with a wire word or greeting. Create matching cards from tagboard or cardstock.
