1. Begin by forming a vine loop in a diameter that feels comfortable. Securely tuck the ends to prevent them from slipping out.
2. Loosely wrap another vine around the loop, letting it hang down. Weave in six or seven loops to start shaping the basket.
3. Incorporate as many vines as you like, tucking ends securely so they hold once the basket dries.
4. Pull firmly on the weaver vine to draw elements closer and fill any gaps.
5. Embrace the freedom of random weaving—no strict pattern required. The final shape often beautifully surprises, differing from your initial idea.
