Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Wash the jars and lids thoroughly. Spray the lids black and let them dry completely. Then, apply metallic wax finishes for a vintage, aged appearance.
- Fill a measuring cup with water. Add a drop of food coloring and stir well. Adjust with more color or water to achieve your desired shade.
- Place a toy, insect, or doll head inside the jar. Pour in the colored water and screw the lid on tightly.
- Create labels for each jar. To give them an aged look, gently tap or rub the edges on an ink pad.
