Whether using new or reused jars, boil glass jars in water for 10 minutes to sterilize them thoroughly. Hand-wash the lids in hot, soapy water. Once clean, remove the jars, let them cool, and refrigerate until ready to fill.

This straightforward recipe uses 1 pound (4 sticks) of unsalted butter. Unwrap the sticks and place them in a mixing bowl. Add 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup pure maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.

A spatula works for hand-mixing, but a stand mixer ensures a creamy, uniform texture. Blend on medium speed for 1-2 minutes, scraping down the bowl sides as needed for even incorporation.

For gifting, personalize jar lids and labels with craft paper. Trace the lid to cut a perfect circle. Design a product label—we recommend stick-on letters for a polished, professional finish.

Scoop the softened butter into chilled jars using a spatula. Tighten lids by hand and tie on decorative labels with string. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. Enjoy on warm toast!
