Use scissors to cut 2-inch slits around the bottom hem of the T-shirt (Image 1). Cut the tulle into 35-inch strips (Image 2).

Tie each tulle strip at its center around the slits at the T-shirt bottom (Image 1). Layer several strips per slit, working all the way around until the tulle is used up (Image 2).

Gaps may appear where tulle meets the shirt. Tie thick ribbon pieces in loose knots over the tulle tops. Add bows if you have extra ribbon to conceal gaps elegantly.

Cut ribbon into two 1-1/2-inch pieces and two 1/2-inch pieces. Apply Fray Check to raw edges and let dry.

Pinch a 1-1/2-inch piece in the middle (Image 1). Wrap a 1/2-inch piece around the center, join ends at back, and sew with needle and thread (Image 2). Repeat. Sew bows to T-shirt sleeve bottoms (Image 3).

Download the crown pattern. Print at full scale without resizing. Choose design, cut pattern, and cut Phoomph to match.

Follow Phoomph instructions to stick fabric on both sides. For patterns, fold Phoomph so design aligns on fold (like our mermaid).

Poke holes at each crown end with scissors or awl for ribbon. Cut two 15-inch ribbons; tie at ends. Secure on head by tying back.

Add a big back bow for a princess-ready gown.
