Materials and Tools:
magnetic pearls
gold spacer beads
wire for stringing beads
2 crimp beads
flat-nose pliers
Steps:
1. Cut a piece of beading wire about 32 inches long. Thread one end through a crimp bead and pearl, then bring the wire back through the crimp bead. Slide the crimp close to the pearl and flatten it with flat-nose pliers.
2. String the magnetic pearls onto the wire as desired, tucking the short loose end into the first few beads. Add gold spacer beads between some pearls for extra sparkle.
Note: Small magnetic beads can repel each other. If they do, remove one, flip it, and they should attract.
3. When the bracelet reaches about 24 inches, finish with another crimp bead and pearl, securing as in step 1.
Materials and Tools:
beach glass
jewelry wire
round-nose pliers
flat-nose pliers
leather cord
Steps:
1. Cut a long piece of jewelry wire. A few inches from one end, twist it into a loop. Wrap the shorter end under the loop, leaving some extra wire.
2. Wrap the long end around the beach glass in a freeform pattern until secure. Twist the wire ends together with your fingers and round-nose pliers. Clamp with flat-nose pliers and tuck ends into the back to avoid skin irritation.
3. Thread leather cord through the loop. Add a clasp or tie ends to complete the necklace.
