Start with clean mason jars and apply a generous coat of glass etching cream. For the best frosted effect, let it dry in a well-ventilated area for 12 hours.

While the cream dries, draw a city skyline silhouette on an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of paper with self-adhesive backing. Customize it or recreate your favorite city's skyline. Use a precision utility blade, like an X-Acto, to cut out the shape.
Cut out windows and doors with the fine blade for added detail.
If full-sheet contact paper is tricky, use plain paper with spray adhesive to attach it to the jar.

After drying, remove the cream using an abrasive scouring pad and water. Reveal the beautifully frosted glass beneath.

Position the skyline profiles around the base of each jar. Self-adhesive paper sets instantly, but allow spray adhesive to dry for several hours in a well-ventilated space.

Drop in an LED tea light and enjoy the warm, enchanting winter glow!
