Draw a bold, block-shaped question mark on sturdy cardboard. Cut out the shape using heavy-duty scissors for clean edges.

Use the cutout as a template to trace and create a mirror-image second question mark.

Create side pieces

Cut long 5-inch-wide strips from the cardboard for the piñata sides. Gently bend them to fit curves and corners seamlessly.

Tape pieces together

Glue the strips to the question mark pieces, forming the piñata's interior and exterior structure securely.

Make holes

Cut two holes at the top of the question mark for hanging string. Add two holes at the bottom for the dot. Drill matching holes in the dot's top. Spacing them apart minimizes swinging.

Run string through holes

Thread string through top holes and secure with square knots. For the dot, thread through the four holes (two bottom question mark, two dot top), aiming for 8 inches so it hangs 3 inches below. Tie into a loop with square knots.

Create fringes on party streamers by cutting slits halfway down every half-inch. Fold multiple layers for efficiency and cut several at once.
