Use a 5/16" drill bit to create a clean pilot hole in the ceiling at your marked spot.
Insert a #10 drywall anchor into the hole. Tap it gently with a hammer until flush with the ceiling. Then, screw in a #10 hook screw for a secure hold.
Assemble or mount the mobile following the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring all parts are securely connected.
Hang the mobile from the hook, adjusting as needed for smooth movement above the crib.
