Gather Tools and Materials

You'll need: 10 craft sticks or popsicle sticks, four rubber bands, craft paint, a foam brush, a bottle cap, a hot glue gun, ammo (marshmallows or pom-poms), and download the target printable here.

Paint the Sticks

Paint all the craft sticks—use one color or mix it up for flair. Allow them to dry completely before proceeding.

Assemble the Base

Once dry, stack two sticks and secure one end with two rubber bands. Set aside.

Create the Cross/Arm Piece

Stack the remaining eight sticks and bind them at both ends with rubber bands.

Connect the Pieces

Slide the stack of eight sticks between the two base sticks.

Secure the Center X Shape

Use the fourth rubber band to fasten all the sticks together in the center, forming an X.

With a hot glue gun, attach the bottle cap to the catapult's end—ideal for loading marshmallows or pom-poms.
